I took some photos while in Ottawa over Easter weekend. The city was going through its spring thaw, resulting in many big reflective puddles; also, this year's harvest of formerly-snow-covered debris seemed particularly bountiful.

Posted by madhava at April 4, 2005 01:07 PMHey Madhava,
I like your pictures. Why is there an electric pole down? Or what is that thing?
But, more importantly: What's the buzz in Toronto about the Trump building? I've been seeing so many condescending ads for it on globeandmail.com, with quotes like "We're going to do something VERY special in Toronto", and "Live HIGHLY". You should check out the intro to the actual website too, it's totally hilarious and insane (talks about colour, when nothing about the architecture of the building seems to deal with colour at all).
Posted by: George at April 10, 2005 02:45 PMI can't wait to get my new camera. Sites like this have just inpired me to take pictures of everyday things in life that are just so cool to look back on. It prompted me to send an e-mail asking about the tech specs but I later found the info on your site (with the link to the camera review site). Very cool information. Now, about this trump building... Once again I'm not impressed with Donald's desing team. I'm not too sure about the one they are building here in Chicago either. If you are going to spend money on such a monolithic project, why not try to make is something worth lasting for ages? Something to give flight to the imagination? I think I like the Sapphire Tower plans better but that was just after a brief look. Just my two cents.
