Winter wonderland

Merry Christmas from Ottawa!

On clear Ottawa winter days, around 3pm when the sun is low in the sky, you get great golden light casting long shadows. Given the colour, it ought to look warm, but it makes me shiver — clear days are the coldest. Here's a set of outdoor shots from around my parents' house.

As does my parent's dog, but I think for vastly different reasons.

The pictures are fantastic, Madhava. I can hear the crunch of the snow and feel the chill in the air. Oh, wait, that's 'cause it's -22 in Toronto today, too. Yowza.

You are my inspiration to buy a new digital camera that has some sort of "power and capabilities" to it. Great pictures!! And, I can still feel the cold in the air even though it is just below 50 degrees here in Chicago...
